The river is 18mi long and features 52 rapids full of excitement and fun. After a complete security guide and equipped with a life vest, helmet and paddle, you’ll be ready for the rapids.

The first 4mi feature class II-III rapids, which are ideal to familiarize yourself with the activity and enjoy the tropical forest surroundings. Later, the tour continues in the best rapids of Costa Rica in the Pacuare river: the famous «Serpiente Terciopelo» and the amazing Huacas Waterfall.

Entering the park, we walk towards the beautiful region of Sarapiquí, known for its exuberant biodiversity. There, we’ll ride a boat and witness the extraordinary rainforest fauna that includes monkeys, iguanas, and various birds.

Following the boat ride, we’ll continue through the private trails of Selva Verde Eco Lodge, a paradise for all nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. We’ll learn about all the details of the local ecosystems and see lots of flora and fauna.

The impressive Arenal Volcano is in La Fortuna, San Carlos, Alajuela. It offers tourists the opportunity to appreciate the lines of white smoke, ash, and its fumarole activity. On the way to the volcano, we’ll make a stop at the famous town of Sarchí, known as the cradle of the craftspeople and handicrafts of Costa Rica. In this place, tourists can buy souvenirs like woods, clothes, and any memorable item in general.

In Sarchí, you can see the biggest Oxcart wheel in the world! It is made of wood and decorated with vibrant colors. It also has an honorable mention in the Guinness World Record book.

After Sarchí, we continue traversing the forest and agricultural crops until we reach the beautiful town of La Fortuna where you’ll have lunch with a spectacular view of the Arenal Volcano. After eating lunch, we’ll visit the viewpoint located close to the base of the volcano where the Arenal Lake can be seen. Finally, you’ll enjoy and relax the hot springs Baldi. They offer 25 pools with temperatures that range the 33° to 66° Celsius. After eating a delectable dinner with a pleasant view of the volcano, we’ll head back to San José.

Afterwards, we descend to Cartago where we’ll visit The Basílica de Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles (Our Lady of the Angels Basilica), a historic pilgrimage site.

Our next stop will be the lovely Orosí Estate, which is surrounded by abundant vegetation and a rainforest. Here, mother nature has blessed the land with mineral springs. These thermal springs of more than 65° C filter through the layers of soil and emerge in the heart of the rainforest, creating an oasis of relaxation and comfort.

At the Orosí Estate, a place of mystique, the springs turn into a source of rejuvenation and wellness. The minerals, salts and ions present in these waters enrich the skin tissues and revitalize the senses. Starting from the Pan-american Highway, across cultivated and fertile land full of varied vegetables, we ascend towards the formidable volcano. At the top, a beautiful spectacle of the main craters of the volcano can be seen. During clear days, even the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean can be observed from here. Afterwards, we descend to Cartago where we’ll visit The Basílica de Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles (Our Lady of the Angels Basilica), a historic pilgrimage site.

Continuing the tour route, we head to the beatiful Orosí Valley, which is surrounded by mountains marked by a colonial history of pirates, earthquakes, and floods.
