West Costa Rica is a nature-rich zone. Poás Volcano gives us the opportunity to see an active volcano (highly active) with a gigantic crater and beautiful flora of the cloud forest.

At the feet of the volcano, strawberries grow thanks to the natural fertilization of the volcano and when visiting a farm located over there, we all will have the chance to taste the quality of this fruit on a shake or just by picking it up from the plant.

Lunch will be served on a farm with live animals and great views. In the afternoon we will also see another product that reveals Costarican background and characteristics; coffee known by the locals as the “golden been”.

If you want to live the adventure of visualizing the World from the heights, we invite you to come with us to San Ramón de Alajuela, to San Luis Canopy Tour. Eleven cable rides, Tarzan Swing, and the Superman Cable make you live this adventure on top of the forest.

If you prefer something a little less adventurous, you can take an 1800 meter walk under the trees and explore the area crossing six hanging bridges, visiting the Humming Bird Garden, a Bird Viewer, and the famous Bee World.

The Bee World is a rural project dedicated to protect native species known as “Mariolas”, a non-sting species, and also to educate people about the advantages of local species and the richness of honey.

Canopy Tour or Hiking Tour, both include a typical Costarican lunch cooked in a wood-fed oven; if you also want, señora Chela can teach you how to cook Costarican traditional food.
