“Picnic de los Sentidos” (Picnic of the Senses) is a holistic wellness experience that combines nature, the self, conscious art, and emotional health in a natural, unique environment in the western region of Costa Rica.

Inspired by the Japanese philosophy Shinrin-Yoku (Forest Bathing), we invite you to disconnect from everyday stress and reconnect with your senses, emotions, and holistic wellness through introspective routes, sensory activities, and conscientious segments.  Shinrin-Yoku is internationally recognized for its benefits: reducing stress, improving emotional wellness, and strengthening the connection with nature. 

The experience integrates:

  • 🌿 Forest bathing (Shinrin-Yoku) in a botanical garden in Sarchí.
  • 🎨 Conscious painting session with a local artisan. It includes a typical cartwheel to paint on, paint, brushes, and a small easel.

RECONNECTING SENSORY EXPERIENCE AMONG SCENTS AND COLORS | Sarchi – Alajuela (1 Day Tour)

In the western region of Costa Rica, surrounded by mountains, lush surroundings, and a coffee culture, emerges a unique experience designed to awaken your senses through coffee, the forest, and conscious art.

We’ll visit Hacienda La Eva to learn about the coffee process — from the plant to the cup. Participants will observe the coffee plantation with its delicate white flowers (during its blooming state), discover the red fruit ready to harvest, and learn each step of the production of coffee.

This experience aims to learn about coffee through the senses:
🌿 observe the beauty of the coffee plantation,
🎧 listen to the coffee being processed,
👃 smell the freshness of drip coffee
🤲 feel the texture of coffee in its different stages of growth,
☕ enjoy a delicious cup of authentic Costa Rican coffee.

This experience encompasses conscious connection with nature, inspired in wellness and personal introspection. Through a sensory route in the forest, participants will be able to put pause on their daily routine to breathe manually and connect with their inner selves.

FLAVORS OF THE MOUNTAIN | Poasito- Alajuela (1 Day Tour)

Esta experiencia nos llevará muy temprano hacia las montañas de la provincia de Alajuela para visitar el imponente Volcán Poás, uno de los volcanes más importantes y Early in the morning, we’ll venture into the mountains of Alajuela to visit the massive Poás Volcano, one of the most important and visited volcanoes in Costa Rica. Surrounded by lush greenery and fresh air, the scenery of the main crater of the volcano is majestic. Clear or cloudy, this place offers a unique beauty at different levels.

During the visit, we’ll also observe the amazing Botos Lake, an old volcanic crater encircled by a cloud forest, where its turquoise and green hues transmit tranquillity and a sense of connection with nature.

After the visit to the volcano, we’ll head to its fertile slops to visit a strawberry farm. At this farm, you will learn the harvest process of this fruit. From flower to fruit, and all about its scents, colors, and distinct flavors. Moreover, you will be able to taste this fresh and delicious fruit and other products made with it.

Later, before lunch, we’ll take you to a small local business to learn about and enjoy a tasty cup of Costa Rican coffee, traditionally prepared thanks to the dedicated producers of the zone.

“Flavors of the Mountain” is an experience that combines nature, culture and tradition, and gastronomy all in one. In this tour, you will enjoy the beautiful scenes, wonderful scents and unique tastes of Costa Rica.
